[Gold had been off in the jungle for the past week or so, off attending to a mission with Silver. It was successful, minus some... bumps in the road, and they're just now returning to the village. As Gold rode into town, on top of the back of Explotaro, his trusty steed, the first thing that pops into his mind is to pull out his journal and make a post. Because that's obviously what you do when you first come back from a mission, right?]

Say, Cilan, think you can whip together a feast for us? Gotta say, the food I've had over the past week? Hardly what I'd call appetizing. I'm dyin' for a good meal right about now!

[There's silence for a bit, almost as if he's leaving it there.

But then he speaks up again.]

So what's been goin' in this fine village? I've been gone for ten days, so I'd expect something to have happen during that time! No way this place is so dull that every day's just as boring at the one before it. Besides, there's this... ahh, weird feeling in the air? Dunno quite how to put it, but... Yeah!

Ah, well... Probably not much point to worrying about it now, unless someone's willing to come clean?

[A sigh.]

I know it's kinda late in the day, but anyone wanna meet up, and I dunno... do something? I've gotta find some way to unwind after all this mission junk. Otherwise, I might just explode.

[There's a thoughtful hum as Cilan considers Gold's concern, thinking for a moment.]

I suppose there could be a different taste in the air, but if so, it appears to be rather subtle at the moment. [Then again, he's been...a little distracted lately, what with Iris and his brother Chili suddenly being around now. Nonetheless, Cilan replies with what sounds like his usual amount of cheeriness.]

But if a feast is what you desire, then I can certainly oblige! Do you have any special requests you'd like to make?

I think you already know what my requests are.

[There's a bit of murmuring in the background, and then Gold adds:]

Oh, Silver says he wants somethin' sweet.

[...I swear to god if it's volcano burgers and ice cream again then I will stare at you people really hard because that's kind of odd to want in late november FYI--I mean uh.]

Alright, that can be arranged! [Chili is...elsewhere at the moment, so he's not going to bother with seeing if his brother wants to help. There's a slight pause while he checks to see what they have in the kitchen right now--] How was the mission? Are you both alright?

Nothin' broken or bruised. [He shrugs.]

Oh, that's good to hear. [Even if that doesn't really tell him anything about what exactly happened on the mission...] How long do you think it will take for you and Silver to reach the house from where you are now?

Not long at all if we head straight there.

Okay, then I'll try to make sure that everything will be ready to eat when the two of you arrive!

[In fact it even sounds like there's some slight background noise of him already moving stuff around in the kitchen.]

I'll be nice and give you some extra time even. [Which is why he wants to find something to do for a bit.]

[hahaha] My, how considerate of you Gold. I'll make sure to not let that extra time go to waste.

Of course! I expect you to use this time to prepare a gourmet meal worthy of my tastes!

Of course! [It's hard to tell because of the current setting on the journal, but he may or may not have just imitated a bow like he would when taking someone's order at his restaurant back home.] When it comes to my abilities, you can look forward to the highest quality and preparation for making a meal that can exceed any and all expectations!

Great! Then I'll be sure to set my expectations high, and my hunger even higher!

Then I should concentrate on having this feast prepared right away if I want it to have a satisfactory taste.

[Some more sound in the background of moving something again; it sounds like Cilan is being serious about trying to put a good amount of effort into making dinner tonight.]

I'll look forward to it, then! [Aaaaand click. He'll be by the house for the food when it's ready.]

[And when Gold does come by, he'll find that Cilan actually took him seriously when Gold said he wanted a "feast"--Cilan has been cooking for them long enough that he seems to know what foods to make that that they would like ~~regardless of how vague your orders are sometimes~~, and it looks like he made plenty enough for seconds, if so desired.]

[Gold could smell the delicious spread Cilan had prepared before he even opened the door, so he's practically salivating once he does enter.]

Whoa...

[Silver is similarly lured by the smell of food, but he's a little more comp...osed...

Alright, no. He's not particularly subtle about pushing Gold into the house so he can follow him inside. He's cold, tired, and hungry, and two of those problems are about to be solved.]

Gold, Silver, welcome back! [And here is Cilan, oh so proud of himself for getting all this food ready in time for their arrival.] I hope you're hungry, because I made plenty of food to eat!

[...Though judging by their reactions, I don't think he has to worry about any of it going to waste.]

[Pushing? Silver pls, Gold is dragging you into the house for food, you do not need to push him in.]

Let's just say I've got a week or so's worth of good eating to catch up on! [And that's why he's wasting no time in taking a seat and chowing down.]

[Yes please keep dragging him this is perfectly acceptable as long as we get to the food faster.

He nods along with Gold, but before sitting down to eat be bows his head down a little in Cilan's direction as his way of saying thanks.
