[It's been a couple days now since the last Shift had reached its conclusion. Gold had been wrapped in its effects like many others, having taken on the life of a university student. He waited a couple days for everything to settle down, but honestly couldn't hold it in any longer.]

Soooo... Was there somethin' we were actually supposed to take away from all that? Some moral, or experience? 'Cause all I learned is that I still really hate goin' to school. I didn't need some stupid Shift to tell me that.

[At least he didn't have to wake up this Monday to go to classes again. He might lose it if this place had permanently become a school.]

[Following that, Gold goes about his day, and so may be caught in one of several places. He starts out (after eating a well-balanced breakfast at House 11) doing some Pokémon training in the Battle Dome, taking advantage of and appreciating the fact that the place suddenly has doubled the number of rooms it has. He didn't even have to petition the Malnosso for it to happen. It's as if they heard their pleas for the Battle Dome to expand. ...But that's crazy, right? As if that could happen.

Following that, he may be found at the Rec Center. It's possible you may him engaging in his usual pursuits of billiards and pinball there, but more than likely, he'll be found sitting on the couch, staring at the back of his journal. The loud dull hum of white noise can be heard while he does this, as he fiddles with the brand new tablet that's been mysteriously added to their journals. Surely it has to have something that it's trying to broadcast besides this static... right?

Briefly following that, having gotten frustrated with the journal, he leaves the Rec Center and heads out into the plaza for some well-deserved skateboarding. It's clear the weather's starting to change after all, and he'd rather enjoy it while it lasts. Perhaps you'll run into him here. Hopefully not literally.

And then to wrap it up, he heads back to the Battle Dome in the evening, to meet up with his instructors Bulla, Aang, Ventus and/or Saori to continue their training together.]

[Despite that display, he is slowly grabbing the plate and bringing it back towards him. His desire for food outweighs that disgusting mental image.]

Avoided homework, played video games, avoided homework, partied, avoided homework...

...Did I mention I avoided homework? [He really hates homework.]

[The shift last week had been pointless, annoying, and a touch embarrassing, but all things considered it could be a lot worse. Jean has shrugged it off, swept it under the rug, and all that, and now it's back to business as usual. In the afternoon, he wanders into the Rec Center to see if there's anyone around to shoot the shit with. He spots Gold, and comes to peer over the back of the couch at what's holding his attention. Jean probably spends enough time with Silver to at least have some idea that this guy is his best friend.]

Hey, whatcha got there?

[Guess who hasn't noticed the technology upgrade yet.]

[He turns his attention to Jean, holding up the strange screen.]

Dunno. I just found it on my journal today. Judgin' by the fact nobody's freaked out about it yet, I'm guessin' it's pretty new.

[He stares at the screen for a bit, almost expectantly. The static ain't going anywhere.]

Is is supposed to do something else, or what?

It's not all bad, but you and me both. People actually pay money to sit in on boring lectures all day?

Right, I almost forgot about the homework part. Almost literally. I almost forgot to do some of it.

[Someone else is in the Rec Center and it starts with a capital 'V' which Gold might hear someone cheering while the pinball game makes some noise. Guess who's trying to score high in this game?] Oh yeah! Victory for me! Just a couple more~

[Gold doesn't like that sound. That is the sound of someone trying to beat his high score on the pinball machine. That's not good at all. He sits the journal down on the couch and heads over to the machine.]

[Well, Saori is at the dome as usual, waiting after her own training session for Gold. When he comes up, she slides further down the bench so he can have a seat. She doesn't seem to really be bothered by the fact that he's late. Of course he's late. And it's not really a big deal, after how weird the previous week had been.

American college? Linguistic? Seriously, that was just weird.]

How are you tonight, Gold?

[Gold being late is such a regular occurrence that she should be concerned when he shows up on time.]

No complaints on this end. [He takes the seat.] How about you?

[Maybe so, maybe so...

Regardless of time, she gives him a vaguely amused smile.]

Oh, about as well as can be expected. [That false life was a little less troubling than the last, but it was no less awkward afterwards.] Did you enjoy your week of American university?

Oh, I don't think it was that bad. In fact, it was interesting to have such a wide variety classes that were offered for people to take, and some of them even had an intriguing taste to them. Though, I must admit that the studying I had to do to become a Pokemon Connoisseur was a little more fun, but that's a matter of personal preference, I suppose.

[...Of course Cilan likes school, to the surprise of probably no one.]

Well, it's a shame that they didn't have classes about Pokemon during this recent shift, otherwise you might have enjoyed it a little more, perhaps? [...Though, he honestly would not be surprised if you still didn't like the idea of school even if there had been classes about Pokemon, maybe.]
