Oh, don't get me wrong, many of the trainers in Unova are wonderful people! In my line of work though, sometimes you do end up meeting a few trainers that have rather skewed priorities, or don't know how to properly take care of one's Pokemon. Granted, those particular trainers tend to be just inexperienced, but sad to say, I have met a few Pokemon that have been abandoned by previous trainers before during my travels.

[Heck, two of Ash's Pokemon that are here in Luceti with him were Pokemon that were mistreated by previous trainers, but that's not his place to mention.]
