After all, as far as he's aware, everything should be perfectly fine and normal at home. He even went so far as to set his Pokégear's time and date to Luceti time instead of Earth time.

Of course, while it's normally a benefit, this time it works against him. His Pokegear ever-so-lovingly reminded him today was Mother's Day.

But Gold doesn't agree with that, and it doesn't make him feel better. Talking about his own feelings doesn't make it better for me. It just makes them stronger. What he wants is to understand others' feelings. And he wants others to understand those feelings.
