[Gold can be found almost anywhere in the village. Catch him at the restaurant scarfing unquantifiable amounts of burgers, at the rec center shooting up a game of pool, or inside his house tending to his Pokémon.]

[Asbel will be found at the barracks training and working on his swordsmanship. Unless you're an old acquaintance of his, of course, in which case, he's already accosted you and dragged you off to catch up over tea at the tea shop. Or you may just find him at a rare moment in the house, playing with Tiger Festival, his pet cat.]

[Haru, meanwhile, is going to be absolutely excited at the prospect of all these new people showing up in the village. So many new faces to meet...! Which is why he's taking the opportunity to introduce him to each one he gets the chance to so he can make more friends.]

Hi, I'm Haru! Who're you?

O-oh, right, of course... [he blushes a bit, rubbing the back of his head. That isn't quite what he meant.]

What I meant is... why didn't you call for me over the journal first? I could've come to get you.

[She gazes down at the floor for a moment, her fingers entwining in an anxious manner.]

I don't know where it is. I couldn't find it anywhere.

[Asbel's wholly confused by the matter. She couldn't find her journal, but she found her clothes and was able to find her way here without issue...]

It wasn't next to you when you woke up?

[Her clothes were already on her when she awoke. That's why, for a while, she hadn't even realized she'd been gone. Then she'd made an even more startling discovery.]

No, and... There's something else. [She hesitates for a moment, then turns to show off her back. Asbel may not notice at first what's wrong- heck, part of her expects him not to notice. Really, just let that lack of wings sink in for a moment.]

[Asbel stares at Cheria's back for a moment. Just as expected, he seems to not understand what she means, staring confusedly.

But finally, he seems to catch on, his eyes growing wide.]

[Oh thank goodness, he did figure it out on his own. She would've felt silly if she'd had to explain it herself. There's a bit of a sigh, then she turns to face Asbel again. There are others in the village like her, she's already seen them.]

What do you think it means?

...Maybe they've found a way to not give people wings here? They're kind of a burden, after all...

...Maybe... [Though, she distinctly remembers the wings are supposed to be tied to her life. If she doesn't have them, then what does that mean for her?

There's a moment of silence, but Cheria decides to break it by turning her attention to Tiger Festival. The kitty's still flitting around near their feet, after all.]

Hello, Tiger. Did you miss me? [Brb, crouching down to pet the kitty.]

[Asbel also crouches down to pay the cat some attention.]

It looks like Tiger Festival's happy to see you again, at least.

And I'm happy to see her too. [She'll just... absentmindedly run a hand over the cat's back. This isn't awkward at all. Nope.]

...A-and, of course, I'm happy to see you too... [It sounds kind of forced for him to have said that, not because he didn't mean it, but because he is absolutely not used to saying those sorts of things. Or saying basically anything resembling affection.]

A-ah... I... [What is she supposed to say to that? She can't say she missed Asbel- she didn't even notice she was gone. To her, the last time she saw him was only yesterday. Even so...]
