After all, as far as he's aware, everything should be perfectly fine and normal at home. He even went so far as to set his Pokégear's time and date to Luceti time instead of Earth time.

Of course, while it's normally a benefit, this time it works against him. His Pokegear ever-so-lovingly reminded him today was Mother's Day.
