[ So there's Ash with Pikachu being amazed by all the festive things that have shown up such as lights and christmas trees. But there was one in particular that he was most fascinated - or more so confused - about.

The mistletoe.

Right now he's staring a one nearby that's just floating there in midair. He's not under it (thank Arceus) but he's certainly close enough that you can tell what exactly he's staring at.]

[It definitely doesn't go unnoticed by Gold, who was passing through the area as he cooked up his own mischief for the occasion.]

...Dude, what are you doing?

[It's more of a rhetorical question than anyway, since he can clearly see what Ash is doing: staring at a floating piece of mistletoe. But that probably won't stop Ash from answering anyway...]

[ Ash hears Gold and snaps out of staring at the mistletoe long enough to look at him ]

'm wonderin' what that is! [ He points to the floating plant ] I've never seen it before!

[ And if he has it certainly was never floating in midair! ]

Okay, that prompts Gold to start laughing at him.]

[ Cue Ash frowning because he doesn't understand why you're laughing ]

What are y' laughing about?

[That prompts Gold's laughter to cut out really quick.]

--Wait, you're bein' serious, then?

[Man, he seriously doesn't know? Gold almost feels bad for him. How do you end up so sheltered you don't even know what this is?]

Dude, it's a Mistletoe.

[ he feels like he... might have heard of one before? .... nope can't remember. So he's giving you a very confused look Gold. Care to elaborate? ]

Uhh... [Man, does he really have to explain mistletoe to the kid? Well... Might as well have a little fun with it then]

...Yeah! You've really never heard of Mistletoe before?

It's a Pokémon, of course!

Ehhhh?! That thing is a Pokemon?!

Of course. I thought it'dve been obvious to a Pokémon Trainer such as yourself, buuut...

What made y' think I wasn't thinkin' it was.

[ Because he may have for a second... or two. ]

You mean besides you insistin' you had no clue what it even was?

I didn't think I would be seein' a Pokemon I've never seen here.

[ Sure Ash that's what it was ]

Well, consider yourself enlightened, then! You've just met a new Pokémon, after all! [This kid's way too easy.]

[ he grins ] y' hear that Pikachu? A new Pokemon!

[ Pikachu doesn't seem too convinced but cheers anyways ]

So why is it just floatin' there? It hasn't moved ever since I first saw it.

Well... That's just what it does, y'know? It's pretty shy, so it doesn't move when it's being watched.

So what would happen if I walk over to it? Would I be able to catch it?

Not these ones.

Why not? D' they already have a trainer?

You got it! [He gives Ash a wink.] Try as you might, but these little guys ain't goin' into your balls!
